Longtime SCS customer Hometown News Media Group, with offices in Fort Pierce, Florida, and South Daytona, Florida, has signed an agreement with SCS to implement the company’s Community Publishing System.

Hometown News publishes 15 weekly editions, including those covering Daytona Beach, Edgewater, New Smyrna Beach, Orange County, Ormond Beach, Fort Pierce, Port St. Lucie and Vero Beach, among others.

“Like all companies in the newspaper industry, Hometown News is always watching for efficiencies to improve service to our readers and impact the bottom line,” states Group Publisher Kirk Dougal. “Because of our valued history of working with SCS and their continued improvements in software development, we felt they gave us the best opportunity to achieve both at the same time with their products.”

“It’s always a vote of confidence when our customers want to do additional business with us,” says Phil Curtolo, vice president of sales at SCS. “We’re excited to help our friends at Hometown News modernize its editorial workflow with the Community Publishing System.”
